Kareena Kapoor Does Not Want Poo Spin-off As She Feels NO One Can Play Her Iconic Role; Says ‘Some Characters Need To Remain Untouched’
Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the most versatile actresses that we have in Bollywood. In her career spanning more than a decade, she has given many memorable performances and amongst them is her iconic character of Poo aka Pooja Sharma in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Even today, Bebo is adored by fans for this character. However, Kareena does not want Poo Spin-off and wants to leave the character untouched. Yes, you read that right!

The Jab We Met actress expressed the same thought in a recent interview. Speaking with News18.com at the launch of a footwear, Kareena said some characters need to remain untouched and loved for what it was and Poo is one such. She even asserted that nobody can play her role. The 42-year-old actress was quoted saying, “Never. As you said, Poo was truly an iconic character. Some characters need to remain untouched and loved for what it was. I don’t think it can be touched, I don’t think it should be and nobody can play Poo.” ALSO READ: Kareena Kapoor Khan Reveals Why She Married Saif Ali Khan When Actresses Only Focused On Their Career; Says, ‘Today It’s Suddenly Cool To Be Married’

Further, when asked which of her iconic outfits she would want to bring back into trend now, she picked Poo’s Bole Chudiya outfit. Kareena said, “I think it would be the iconic Bole Chudiya ghagra. Manish had done a spectacular job and even today, 23 years later, people adore it, they love the colour, and the colour is gorgeous. The work on it for that time was so ahead of its time and I believe it’s going to be a part of the collection at the (Jio) Convention Centre as well. It is one of the iconic pieces that will be (displayed) there, (with regard to) style and fashion.”

Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor is prepping up for Hansal Mehta’s next project. She also has an upcoming comedy film The Crew with Diljit Dosanjh, Tabu and Kriti Sanon. Her last release ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ with Aamir Khan miserably failed at the box office.
